Class of 2008 is now a memory

Can you believe it - in the 38 year history of the BI - this was the very first time we had an outdoor graduation on BI property. For many years we did it on the beautiful grounds of the Inn. It was beautiful and the day went incredibly well.

Dr. Davis gave his famous farewell speech and Dr. Jordan gave a challenge. My favorite part was congratulating students with my beautiful wife by my side.

Now we look onto a new class. I am getting pretty exciting - our numbers seem to be up! I believe this year will be break 500 in NY, 130 in FL and come close to 50 in Canada.

What a thrill to be involved in life change of students.

Graduation was great, I enjoyed watching my friends, and the BI scenery was just as good as when I had my first @ the Inn.

Thanks for praying for me Ric!

So what's going on in my life? I finished my degree at ABC last semester and got a job as the Lone Tree Lakeshore Director. My camp works as part of the Lone Tree Mexico Missions program. We take kids from our Ranch in New Mexico (where the kids to a lot of team building and goal setting) to Mexico (where the kids build house for a family) and then for the last 2 days of their trip we bring the kids up to my camp for a few days of reflecting upon what God has been teaching them in Mexico.

Since the summer is over I just closed down the Lakeshore camp and moved up to the Ranch where I'll be helping out with retreats until I go back over to the lake next summer.

It's hard to believe that I graduated two years ago! I really do believe that my time at the Bi were the two hardest and best years of my life.

Mr. Garland,
I miss the BI immensely...
The feeling of tightness isn't here at Davis. It's a great school, I'm loving my classes, but it's just not the same atmosphere.
I'm majoring in Early Childhood Administration, which is different from my original plan to do TESL here. I guess God used my interests to draw me here, then He changed my focus and direction ever so slightly. Pretty neat.
I'm attending Twin Orchards Baptist Church in Vestal and am planning on getting involved in the children's ministries. It reminds me so much of home.
I am so thankful for my two years at the BI. Coming here, I don't have to take any Bible classes (which is actually rather sad!), a lot of credits transferred, so I'm a Jr, and I'm determined to stick with the Quiet Time. It's amazing how two short years immersed in the Word of God can totally change a person.
I'm excited for Ben to be able to back for second year next year. I'm sure I'll be up to visit next year when Ben is back, so you'll be sure to see me again =) I'm hoping to even come up this year to visit my friends that are now in second year, and even some interns.
I'm praying for all the students at the BI, that God would really grip their hearts with His greatness, as He did mine.
Thank you for everything

Danielle
